It’s never easy to dupe with the movie icons, and more so when you’re attempting it with the R2D2. You know it in the back of your mind, ‘one step wrong and the Star Wars universe will kill ya.’ Therefore, Rob Meyer deserves credit to have tried the tinker and to having pulled it off so well, with this Lilliputian R2-D2. This amazingly small R2D2 robot, which you fanatics could have easily missed from under your eyes, is 1:18 Scale model, measures 2.36″/6cm tall and functions on three Solarbotics’ GM15 pager gearmotors. How small is that, guess from the fact that a real R2-D2 measures 108cm tall.
