The Kent Display’s Boogie Board LCD Writing Tablet is a writing device that consumes zero power and is best for replacing paper and pen for your usual scribbling and writing. The screen of the device is made of the company’s own LCD technology that does not need power.
The panel is flexible and has a reflective layer that needs no backlight. It’s like e-Ink display, non-volatile, requires no power to keep the pixels showing. And the pixels change color while you write on the screen. The screen is also pressure sensitive, manages to display different thickness of lines based on the amount of pressure you apply.
Although it requires zero power to show what you write on it, but it still needs very little power to wipe the screen clean. And this little power is supplied by a watch battery that can last for 50,000 uses. The Boogie Board is great for your kids, so they won’t get your house messed up with paper when they begin learning writing and sketching.
