Elecom has announced two power strip-like USB hubs in Japan. The specialty of these power strip-like USB hubs are they’re mimicking how a power strip works, having each USB port equipped with a switch to allow you to turn on and off each port.

The first USB hub offers four USB ports while the second USB hub has seven ports. They’re priced at $40.70 and $106 respectively. These power strip-like hubs are attachable on a magnetic surface.

They all come with a bunch of stickers (in English) allowing you to stick on the hubs to identify which USB port is connecting which device. Each version of USB hubs is available in black and silver. If you want one, follow the links below to get yours.

Yes, this is a week old, but since I’ve been on vacation I’m just catching up a bit on the news. One of the coolest things that has been launched during the week got to be the the magic trackpad. It’s a small device that is placed next to your keyboard and will let you use multi-touch gestures on your desktop as well. It’s only $69 and you can buy one in your local Apple store or online.

Flora presents a unique perspective on remote controls. The silicone outer shell responds to pressure and tension by squeezing and pulling it. The inputs translate into different commands when navigating data on a computer. The center contains a small touchscreen for gesture input. The design needs major work but the concept is interesting. Color me intrigued.

Check it out, Clearwire has decided to do up an Apple-centric version of its Spot 4G hotspot, so it’s quite naturally fashioned it in the shape of a Magic Mouse and stuck an i prefix to the front of the device.
