Oregon Scientific introduces solar-powered +ECO Clima Control weather station

Geeker electronics: o s eco weather station Oregon Scientific introduces solar powered +ECO Clima Control weather station

It may not be the snazziest thing to ever leave the labs at Oregon Scientific, but it’s still a new take on the average desktop weather station that Ma Earth would certainly appreciate. The sun-powered +ECO Clima Control weather station is equipped with a built-in solar panel and enables users to monitor the current temperature and humidity in up to four locations within the home and outdoors. The device relies on remote wireless sensors, and considering that it can operate for up to three months with just an eight hour charge, even folks under the clouds in Seattle can take advantage. Those interested in bringing one home can do so for $119.99, and if you’re still not convinced of the value proposition here, you can look forward to two more +ECO wares this September. Tap that read link for more information on the both of those.

MJ Thriller biggest selling album headphones
The Michael Jackson Thriller headphones are an awesome pair for remembering the pop superstar legend, Michael Jackson and his world’s biggest selling album Thriller.

The Thriller headphones were created before the death of MJ. They’d even won the designer, Johnny Lighthands, the Nokia headset design competition in 2008. It features graveyard imaginery that might come a little bit too soon.

Nokia produced only one pair of working model. The passing of MJ may get Nokia to produce more or some limited edition.

Geometric reactive bioforms

Geeker electronics: Meridith.Pingree.raindrop Geometric reactive bioforms

Some incredible artwork from Meridith Pingree.

My artwork physically tracks human behavior and traffic patterns using quasi-scientific, homespun, reactive sculptures. I use sensors to pick up on people’s energy and movement throughout a space. My work exists as amplifications of this subtle energy, creating unconventional, complex portraits of people and spaces. For example: kinetic links of a centipede-like creature respond individually to create a live mutating curve. Robotic, rainbow colored gel pens selectively record human traffic patterns. Personalities captured by subtle head movements are frozen in rapid-prototyped sculptures.
