Dutch designer Marieke Staps has figured out a way to grow time, instead of killing it. Her soil-powered bio-clock (is that like a biological clock?), showcased at Dutch Design Week in 2008 and most recently at Dwell on Design’s Kitchen Ecology Show last week, keeps time by plugging into mud!

Devil Robot's stinky tofu character is being released by Phalanx in a brand new series of mini figures (1.5" tall) – Smery and Bad Friends.  Smery is set to introduce collectors to his “Bad” friends in this series, which includes 8 characters (Angry, Allury, Drunky, Theafy, Bully, Poory, Sicky, and Gobly) as well as 2 secret characters.  Smery and Bad Friends will be released at 2009 Taipei Toy Fest on July 9th. Look for the blind-boxed line to retail around $5.99 each.
